As a national standardization body, the Institute represents and protects our country's interests in the following international and European standardization organizations:
the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), with full membership status since 1950;
the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), which has been a full member since 1953;
the International IEC Compliance Testing and Certification System, under which the test results recognition scheme (IECEE / CB - Scheme) operates, in which the Institute has been a full member since 1990;
the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), in which it has the status of full member since 1 January 2017;
the European Committee for Standardization in the field of Electrical Engineering (CENELEC), which has the status of full member since 1 January 2017.
the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), which has the status of National Organization for Standardization (NSO) since June 2011.
