This standard specifies a procedure for the determination of 1,4-dioxane in cosmetic products: hair and body wash, face cream, shampoo, toothpaste, liquid soap, solid soap, and lotion, using automatic headspace gas chromatography mass spectrometry. This standard includes the definition, procedures, method, calculation, and validation to ensure high detailed and accurate specification limits.
