This Technical Specification identifies methods for collection, preparation, and analysis of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) in pulmonary toxicity studies in rats. Such analyses include inflammatory cell counts, lactate dehydrogenase, total protein, and inflammatory mediators.
