H-Bridges in the finals of the IFEC2024 student competition

The International Future Energy Challenge (IFEC) is a prestigious student competition in the field of energy electronics that has been held since 2001. The IFEC competition aims to create innovative solutions for the efficient use of electrical energy. Student projects are evaluated based on several criteria, such as cost-effectiveness, performance, prototype quality, and the like.

Student teams from all over the world participate in the competition, and our country is represented for the eighth time by "H-Bridges", a student team formed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Belgrade (ETF). In each of their participations, starting from 2005, our team was highly ranked. In 2023, they won second place with the project Solid State Transformer. The task for IFEC2024 is Stereo Switch-mode Audio Power Amplifier.

The semi-final competition was held in Los Angeles. The teams that qualified for the final competition were recently officially announced and preparations for the final, which will be held in mid-July in Texas, are in full swing.

ISS and ETF concluded a cooperation agreement last year, which enabled students to use the standards from the scientific professional field of the research team, as well as the online database of Serbian standards and related documents.

In addition to working hard on developing their idea, the members of the "H-Bridges" team manage to actively cooperate with partner organizations. Last year, they were guests at a gathering of young electrical engineering professionals held at ISS. At the end of the year, they organized the "Bring Together" event, where they gathered the companies they cooperate with, when ETF students, among other things, had the opportunity to learn more about standardization and conformity assessment.

Dear students, victory is not an imperative in itself. A big THANK YOU for convincing us that you are giving your all.

CONGRATULATIONS!
