How is the Serbian standard created?

Serbian standards (and related documents) can be original or can be created on the basis of international, European and other regional standards and related documents, as well as national standards and related documents of other countries in accordance with the agreements signed with the national standardization bodies of those countries.

Involvement of all interested parties in the process of adoption of Serbian standards is possible in step 1 - Submission of a proposal for a new project to the competent commission for standards and in step 4 - Public discussion on the draft of the Serbian standard. In other steps of development, the standard is available only to members of the standards committee until its publication.
