On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia organized a humanitarian activity for the Counseling Center against Domestic Violence. In order to ensure the smooth functioning of three safe houses and one kindergarten, the Institute allocated funds to pay for one month's electricity bill.
The Safe House Belgrade provides comprehensive support to women and children victims of violence for a period of three to six months, and often longer until the women are empowered. A kindergarten is also available for preschool children, while schoolchildren are placed in nearby schools so that their education can continue uninterrupted.
At the Counseling Center, women receive comprehensive support, including legal and psychotherapeutic assistance, as well as all other necessary assistance for their independent functioning after leaving the Safe House.
The Institute traditionally organizes humanitarian activities, mostly on the occasion of New Year's holidays, and in its jubilee year it allocated funds to help women victims of violence on the occasion of March 8.
Although the majority of employees at the Institute are women, all employees are happy to participate in such activities that contribute to a better functioning of the society in which we live.
