Climate change and environmental protection, quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals, carbon neutrality, improving GHG-related terminology such as avoided emissions, carbon footprint, etc. are some of the main topics that were discussed at the just concluded Twentieth Plenary Session of the International Technical Committee ISO/TC 207/SC 7, as well as at the meetings of the working groups ISO/TC 207/SC7/WG15 and ISO/TC 207/SC7/WG4.
This plenary ISO/TC 207/SC 7 meeting, Greenhouse gas and climate change management and related activities, as well as the working group meetings ISO/TC 207/SC7/WG15, Carbon neutrality, and ISO/TC 207/SC7/WG4, Quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals at organizational level, was held from 12 to 18 October in Paris. More than 60 participants took part in them, including representatives of ISS, Dušan Stokić, M.Sc., KS A207 Chairperson and expert in working groups ISO/TC 207, and Marina Donić, KS A207 NTC Secretary.
At these meetings and sessions, drafts and a large number of received comments on the text of the ISO/CD 14068, Greenhouse gas management and climate change management and related activities — Carbon neutrality, as well as ISO/DTR 14069 and the amendment to the ISO 14064-1:2018 were considered.
