In order to improve cooperation in the field of standardization and exchange of professional knowledge, representatives of the Cyprus Organization for Standardization (CYS) and the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 5 April 2023. The memorandum was signed by Atina Panayotu, Director of the Cyprus Organization for Standardization, and Tatjana Bojanić, Director of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia.
As stipulated in the Memorandum, the contracting parties agreed to promote an effective standardization policy through joint cooperation in order to fully realize the socio-economic benefits of the application of standards. The MoU also aims to formalize cooperation in areas of mutual interest and to develop research and other relationships between the two organizations in the wider field of quality. Also, these two national bodies will cooperate in the field of organizing joint trainings, exchanging experiences during the development of national standards, as well as exchanging other information related to the standardization process.
Taken into consideration that there is a great potential for cooperation, representatives of the Cyprus Organization for Standardization and the Institute for Standardization of Serbia will hold a joint meeting today, 6 April 2023, with the aim of preparing a framework action plan for the implementation of the activities included in the Memorandum of Understanding.
