ISS promotional webinar on the occasion of World Mental Health Day

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared 10 October as World Mental Health Day, with the aim of raising awareness of mental health problems worldwide and encouraging investment in the support system for this segment of human health.

In addition to other health problems that have been affected by the current pandemic, mental health is one of the aspects of human health that has been particularly affected, and it is estimated that one in eight people in the world lived with a mental disorder even in the period before the pandemic. A complicating factor in preventing mental disorders and maintaining mental health is that the time, services, skills and financial resources available for mental health are far below what is needed, especially in low- and middle-income countries.

The theme of 2022 World Mental Health Day, is „Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority”.

At the end of last year, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia published a standard in the Serbian language that relates precisely to this area and that provides a series of guidelines and practical recommendations for managing risks related to safety and health at work, which are caused by psychosocial factors. It is about the standard SRPS ISO 45003:2021, Occupational health and safety management — Psychological health and safety at work — Guidelines for managing psychosocial risks.

Today, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia would like to announce the realization of a promotional webinar with the topic: „Interpretation of the guidelines of  SRPS ISO 45003:2021”, which will be realized after the registration of a sufficient number of interested participants.
