Organized by the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS), a seminar titled "My Work in ISS: What Members of Standardization Committees Need to Know" was held on May 21, 2025. The seminar was attended by 44 participants – 14 at the ISS premises and 30 online.
The seminar was primarily designed as support for new members of standardization committees, as well as for professionals considering becoming involved in the work of these committees.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about the basic structure and functioning of ISS and its technical bodies, and to receive practical advice to help them navigate the ISS website more easily.
A special focus was placed on understanding the standard development process, the obligations and responsibilities that come with active committee participation, as well as voting procedures and access to working documents. It was emphasized that ISS operates based on clearly defined, and often complex, procedures that may seem demanding to new members. Participants were encouraged not to hesitate to seek help – ISS is there to provide full support and answer all questions and concerns.
The seminar took place in a positive atmosphere, and the numerous questions and comments from participants indicated strong interest and the need for this kind of training.
ISS continues its activities aimed at supporting and training all those involved in the standardization process, with the goal of achieving greater efficiency and quality in the work of the committees.
