People's Republic of China

The Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) has a long and successful history of cooperation with the National Administration for Standardization of China (Standardization Administration of China - SAC). This collaboration was formalized in 2016 with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the two organizations, which outlines the following:

- reducing technical barriers to trade between the Republic of Serbia and the People's Republic of China, 

- increasing the level of safety, protection of health and life of people and animals, as well as preservation of the environment,

- expressing the strong desire for continued collaboration in the field of standardization, the facilitating the exchange of technical experts between Serbia and China,

- harmonization of national standards with international standards in order to promote scientific and technical cooperation and reduce technical barriers to trade,

- foster mutual cooperation in international standardization, seeking to facilitate information exchange, coordinate positions, and mutual support within the international standardization organizations ISO and IEC,

- exchange of general data and publications, catalogues of national standards, procedures related to the development and adoption of national standards,

- information and materials in reference with the training programs, as well as programs related to the knowledge of experts from NTCs about the relationship between standards and regulations and conformity assessment.

This agreement is concluded for a period of five years and is automatically renewed for a new five-year period.

As part of mutual cooperation between the two national standardization bodies, and in cooperation with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), three employees from the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) visited the National Administration for Standardization of China.
