21 April – World Creativity and Innovation Day

United Nations designated 21 April as World Creativity and Innovation Day in order to highlight their significance to the sustainable development. This year, special emphasis was placed on the aspect of creativity and the role of the so-called creative economy as an extremely important sector of the world economy.

Creativity is key to the emergence of innovation, and where both have been applied, they have proven to be stimulating in today’s turbulent business environment and especially in the current pandemic crisis. The very concept of innovation implies new ideas and improved processes that drive development and achieve competitive advantages in the market.

The importance of the creative industry and the innovations they have for each organization has led to the development of a special innovation management system. Standard dnaSRPS EN ISO 56002:2020, Innovation management – Innovation management system – Guidance (ISO 56002:2019) soon to be published in Serbian language, is one of the representatives of this system and it was developed by ISO as the International standard ISO 56002:2019.

Innovation management also includes seven currently valid technical specifications published in the electronic collection „Innovation Management Systems” available on the link: https://iss.rs/sr_Cyrl/sistemi-menadzmenta-inovacijama-1-izdanje_p876.html. With their help, organizations can gain insight into various approaches to innovation management, improve their awareness of the value of this system, establish it, create an action plan for continuous improvement of capabilities and performance in their organization, increase their innovation capacity and generate new values. themselves, as well as for their stakeholders.
