Corruption is an extremely negative social phenomenon, present in underdeveloped, but also in developed countries. For that reason, efforts are being made all over the world to combat it, and 9 December is celebrated as the special day dedicated to the fight against corruption. On this day in 2003, the United Nations adopted the Convention against Corruption, with the goals to improve measures for effective prevention and solving this problem. Standards represent one of the useful tools in the fight against bribery and corruption. SRPS ISO 37001:2017, Anti-bribery management systems -- Requirements with guidance for use, provides requirements and guidance for the establishment, implementation, maintenance, revision and improvement of anti-corruption systems. Organizations of all types and sizes can benefit from its implementation and application and reduce the risk of corruption by demonstrating accountability and responsibility.
The future ISO 37000, Guidance for the governance of organizations, provides a framework to guide governing bodies and groups on how to meet their responsibilities. ISO 37002, Whistleblowing management systems – Guidelines, and ISO 37301, Compliance management systems – Requirements with guidance for use, outline everything an organization needs to know to do just that.
The new handbook titled ISO 37001:2016 – Anti-bribery management systems – A practical guide, is due to be published early 2021.
