Academic Standards Day arrives in Belgrade – Connecting knowledge, standards, and future leaders

After Madrid, Milan, Stockholm, Berlin, Ljubljana, and Nicosia, the Academic Standards Day conference is coming to Belgrade on April 1. This event is part of the European research project EDU4Standards.eu and is supported by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).

Academic Standards Day brings the academic community together under the unique theme #SayYEStoStandards, aiming to bring standards and their role in everyday life closer to young people.

At the same time, this is an opportunity for students to secure a better position in the labor market and enter the world that shapes the future of all business segments and society in general – the world of standards.

The conference is designed to familiarize academic staff with standardization and show students that standards are not just theory, but the kind of knowledge that sets them apart. The event offers a rich program, featuring:

• Inspirational Lecture: "Why is it smart to understand standardization?"
• Panel Discussion: "The future belongs to them: Why student participation matters."
• Interactive Activities: Games designed for learning and networking with peers.

This is not an event for passive listeners, but for active participants taking their first steps toward the goal of #SayYEStoStandards.

Standardization is a specialized form of expertise. Therefore, Academic Standards Day has a clear mission: to create a new generation of young experts and future authors of standards.

• Where: Faculty of Organisational Sciences (FON), University of Belgrade
