Additional test methods for electric cables

SRPS HD 605 S3:2020, Electric cables - Additional test methods (identical to HD 605 S3:2019) specifies the test methods to be used for testing polymeric insulated and sheathed electric cables, of rated voltage up to and including 20,8/36 kV, intended for public distribution systems, and for use in power generating plants and sub-stations.

This HD includes test methods that are complementary to already harmonized methods, such as the test methods for electrical and optical cables given in the series of standards SRPS EN 60332-1, which refer to tests under fire conditions and the test methods given in the series of standards SRPS EN 60811, which include testing of non-metallic materials.

Test methods in SRPS HD 605 S3:2020 are used for testing cable types specified in HD 603, HD 604, HD 620, HD 622, HD 626 and HD 627. In each case, these HDs give complementary information needed for the practical application to each specific type.
