The Energy Fair and the EcoFair – events dedicated to sustainable development, energy efficiency, and environmental protection – are taking place at the Belgrade Fair from October 20 to 22.
The event was officially opened by Dragana Ostojić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, followed by presentations from exhibitors. On the first day of the fair, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) delivered an expert presentation “Standardization Updates in the Field of Energy,” covering key topics and development trends for standards in this sector.
The introductory presentation, “Energy in General Standardization Areas,” was given by Aleksandra Vukićević from the Institute for Standardization of Serbia.
Dr. Željko Despotović from the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute spoke about the translation of standards in the field of renewable energy sources, supported by GIZ.
Updates in the area of wind power plants were presented by Mihajlo Ristić, M.Sc., and Milan Markov, M.Sc., from EDS Pančevo, while Prof. Dr. Tomislav Rajić from the School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade presented novelties in the field covered by IEC/TC 99, specifically the ISS NTC N017AC.
The presentations were followed by an open discussion, where experts and visitors had the opportunity to exchange views on the application and significance of standards in the energy sector.
A special part of the program was marked by the ceremonial presentation of the ISS Monograph, published on the occasion of 90 years of standardization in Serbia.
Goran Bajić, Head of the Electrotechnical Standardization Department, presented this publication to the edition's sponsors: “Nikola Tesla” Institute of Electrical Engineering, “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute, IMP Automatika, Elektrodistribucija Srbije d.o.o., and GPS Insulators d.o.o.
The Institute for Standardization of Serbia is participating in the EcoFair and Energy Fair for the third consecutive year, presenting the latest standards editions and services from its scope of work.
All interested visitors are welcome to visit the ISS stand in Hall 3 until Wednesday, October 22, at 17:00, where discounts are available for the purchase of standard collections, as well as for certification services and online standard reading.
