Students of the H-Bridges team of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade organized a ceremony last week on the occasion of the completion of the Solid State Transformer project, in which they participated in the international competition International Future Energy Challenge (IFEC). This event was also attended by representatives of the Institute, which was one of the golden partners of H-Bridges this year.
IFEC is the world's most prestigious student competition in the field of innovation and power electronics, and our students achieved an outstanding result this year as well, winning second place and "The Outstanding Performance Award". This great success continued the tradition started in 2005, since when they participated seven times and won first place twice, second place three times, and third and fourth place each.
First of all, they greeted the group and sent congratulations to the team from prof. Dr. Dejan Gvozdić, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Academician prof. Dr. Slobodan Vukosavić, Head of the Laboratory for Digital Control of Converters and Drives, mentor of the first three generations of competitors. Then the representatives of the companies that supported the team, Dr. Dejan Ostojić, member of the Supervisory Board of "Elektroprivreda Srbije" and Aleksandar Skulić, President of the Executive Board of "Meter & Control", spoke. Luka Savanović, the leader of this year's team, spoke on behalf of the team.
Team representatives presented the most significant details and advantages of the Solid State Transformer technical solution. They also announced their new project - Stereo Switch-mode Audio Power Amplifier, which they are preparing for IFEC 2024.
