“EUROCODE 2 – Second generation” – new Webinar

Standards for Eurocodes include 59 technical specifications for the design and calculation of building structures referred to in the Rulebook on Building Structures (“Official Journal of RS”, No. 89/2019, 52/2020 and 122/2020). Eurocodes provide rules for the basics of design, effects on structures, geotechnical design, as well as rules for the design of seismically resistant structures and structures whose basic materials are concrete, steel, wood, masonry elements, aluminum and composite steel and concrete structures.

The first generation of Eurocodes achieved the goal of establishing harmonization in the design of building structures and providing support for the application of regulations for the design, construction and maintenance of building structures. New versions of Eurocode 2 prEN 1990, prEN 1991-1-2, prEN 1991-2 and prEN 1996-3 are currently under public enquiry. On that occasion, ISS is organizing a webinar for all interested parties, which will be held on 15 September, 2021, starting at 12:00.

During the webinar “Towards the second generation of EUROCODES 2”, the presenters will be the Secretary and members of the NTC U250-2, Design of concrete structures who are responsible for the development and adoption of these standards. The aim of the webinar is to present the forthcoming significant changes in the standards for the design of concrete structures and to encourage the professional public to get involved in the public discussion by commenting on the draft texts. Reading of all standards in the draft phase is available to registered users of the ISS website.
