Fourth Industrial Revolution

The Industry 4.0 concept deals with the question of how to introduce intelligent production into the industry and represents a higher level of automation and digitization of production processes. The promotion of the first book in our country in this field: “Industry 4.0 - Renaissance of Engineering” was held on 14 December, 2022, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade

The rector of Belgrade University, Dr. Vladan Đokić, and the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Vladimir Popović, addressed those present. After that, the book was presented as its reviewers by Dr. Milo Tomašević, professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, Dr. Jovan Babić, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and Dr. Miroslav Trajanović, professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš. Mr. Goran Janković, Director of Inmold Plast d.o.o. from Požega, spoke about the benefits of the book for practical application in industry. At the end, the authors themselves, professors of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, Dr. Vidosav Majstorović and Dr. Radivoje Mitrović, as well as professor of the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade, Dr. Dragan Đuričin, presented their views. 

The main purpose of this monograph, which consists of twelve chapters, is to provide students, engineers and researchers with the latest knowledge about Industry 4.0.

In order for the Institute for Standardization of Serbia to keep up with world trends in engineering and offer the most current topics, ISS planned to organize a seminar on Industry 4.0 next year.
