ISS has just published the bilingual edition of the standard SRPS ISO 45003:2021, Occupational health and safety management – Psychological health and safety at work – Guidelines for managing psychological risks.
This standard is a supplement to SRPS ISO 45001:2018, the first and only globally accepted standard for occupational health and safety management systems (OH&S). Taking into consideration that the working environment, in addition to the impact on physical health, also affects the mental state of the workers, there was a need to consider the negative effects of all psychosocial factors that can be the cause of stress in the workplace.
Psychological security is negatively affected by uncertainty and excessive pressure, but also by poor communication, leadership and organizational culture. In addition, the turbulence caused by the pandemic has led to increased stress and fear among employees. Therefore, the publication of this standard at the international and national level is of great importance and can contribute to creating more favorable working conditions.
In order to bring the requirements of SRPS ISO 45003 and its successful practical application closer to users, in February this year ISS is organizing a new webinar "Guidelines for the management of psychosocial risks - SRPS ISO 45003: 2021". It is intended for experts in this field from all types and sizes of organizations.
