Every year, on the occasion of New Year's holidays, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia organizes humanitarian activities. This beautiful tradition aims to make a small contribution to the general development of society by helping those in need.
This time, ISS achieved its humanitarian task by supporting children's villages in Serbia. Children are our future and above all, it is important to provide every child with adequate conditions for growth and development. In order to make happy some of the most endangered children and teenagers on the eve of the New Year, ISS has dedicated specified funding within its capabilities and intended them for the residents of children's villages in Kraljevo and Sremska Kamenica. On Friday, 17 December, ISS representatives delivered a donation of goods to the children's village "Dr Milorad Pavlović" from Sremska Kamenica, in agreement and in accordance with their needs, and in that way helped the wards of this organization.
Also, all the New Year's greeting cards that ISS employees sent to their associates in the country and abroad this year were decorated with drawings by children from the SOS Children's Village Kraljevo. In this way, the Institute used the funds intended for the purchase of New Year's greeting cards by supporting the activity for helping children and youth without parental care and socially endangered families included in the SOS Children's Villages of Serbia programs.
