ISS at the 20th International Energy Fair (UFI) and 21st International Environment Protection and Natural Resources Fair (EcoFair)

This year again, two significant events are being held at the Belgrade Fair in October: the 20th International Energy Fair (UFI) and the 21st International Environment Protection and Natural Resources Fair (EcoFair), under the joint slogan “Nature has the Message”.

The purpose of this event is to gather key stakeholders from the fields of energy and environmental protection – companies, institutions, decision-makers, universities, organizations, and local communities – with the aim of exchanging knowledge, presenting technological innovations, and creating concrete opportunities for cooperation.

The Institute Among the Key Participants of the Event

The Institute for Standardization of Serbia is participating for the third consecutive time at the Energy Fair. Its presence emphasizes the importance of standards in the fields of energy efficiency, circular economy, and sustainable development.

Standards are a vital pillar for introducing innovations, implementing new technologies, and harmonizing with European and international practices, which is crucial for a successful energy transition and the preservation of natural resources.

The Energy Part of the Fair – Focus on Innovation and Cooperation

The energy section of the event features more than 50 exhibitors from Serbia, Croatia, China, Montenegro, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and North Macedonia, who will exchange views and experiences on global and regional trends in energy.

EcoFair – Standards in the Function of Environmental Protection

The ecological part of the event focuses on the transformation of the energy system in accordance with the principles of the circular economy.

This year's host city of EcoFair is Kraljevo, which will present the implementation of its Local Environmental Action Plan.

A Common Task: Sustainable Future

The fair sections are sponsored by the Ministry of Mining and Energy and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia.

On the first day of the event, Monday, October 20, from 15:15 to 16:15, the Institute is organizing a lecture on the topic: “Current Affairs in Standardization in the Field of Energy”. We invite all interested parties to attend the lecture and also visit our booth in the same Hall 3 to get informed about current standards significant for the development of an energy-efficient and ecologically responsible society.

During the event, the Institute is providing a discount on: the purchase of collections of standards, online reading, and certification services.
