International network of innovators and researchers

Standards are all around us, but they are not noticeable. Because we are usually not even aware of them, it is difficult to measure the contribution they make to economic and social development.

In order to better understand the importance of standards and grasp the benefits of their application, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) motivates young researchers every year to focus their activities on International standards. More precisely, the new findings on the assessment of their impact in a particular area. This year's theme, "International Standards and Climate Change", is especially important for the entire planet.

Postgraduate students from ISO member countries can participate in the competition. All interested postgraduates can contact the Institute for Standardization of Serbia at any time if they need expert advice or for more information on tel. 011 / 3404-101 or by e-mail: iss-edukacija@iss.rs.

The application deadline is June 30 this year and the best research study will be awarded 25,000 CHF.

For researchers and innovators dealing with standardization, the European Commission recently published a document entitled "Scoping study for supporting the development of a code of practice for researchers on standardization". This publication contains a detailed list of all useful abbreviations and as many as 40 case studies. The edition is bilingual (in English and French) and can be downloaded in electronic format here:
