In the period from 19-22 April, and 26-27 April the training was conducted for the employees of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia. It was related to the certification of persons and is part of the project called IPA 2017: "EU for Serbia - Support for safer products". The project was funded by the European Union and represents the support to the quality infrastructure in the Republic of Serbia. The training was organized at the ISS premises, in compliance with epidemiological protection measures.
After establishing the Certification Body as a separate organizational unit, ISS received accreditation for the implementation of quality management system certification activities. Product certification and certification of persons are planned and this training was part of the preparation for new activities.
The lecturer at the training was Ms. Marija Vujaković, an eminent Serbian expert with extensive experience in the development of certification activities for persons. This area is defined by the standard SRPS ISO/IEC 17024:2012, Conformity assessment - General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons, which specifies the principles and requirements for bodies that certify persons according to specific requirements. SRPS ISO/IEC 17024 includes the development and maintenance of a certification scheme for persons.
