The International Organization for Standardization, ISO and IEC have created a joint IEC/ISO SMART program that will make the content of standards usable in the future by computers, complex machines and small intelligent devices. The new generation of "smart" standards will enable insight into international (ISO and IEC) standards throughout their entire life cycle.
In order to identify and better understand the needs, ISO and IEC are currently working to collect and consolidate the experiences of various users around the world. That's why we invite you to get involved in this research and thus help the authors of the SMART program in preparing the best possible digital solutions. The deadlines for submitting user stories are February 28 and April 26, 2023.
What is expected of you?
It is necessary to answer the following three questions in a simple way, in just one sentence: who, what and why. E.g: (Indicate the type of user) I want to (indicate the expected action) in order to achieve that (indicate the expected benefit / added value).
The type of user can be any of the following interested parties:
An action represents the desired behavior of the system:
Added value can be expressed as increased efficiency, effectiveness, quality, accuracy, profitability, savings, etc. Benefit ie. incremental value is written to express the value that the expected change will bring, such as:
Examples of user stories (can be submitted in English or Serbian):
As a [manufacturer], I want [to have specific requirements for all the constituent parts of product types (such as fillers/inner covering of cables)] so that I can [follow the same without the need of trying different grades].
As a [manufacturer], I want to [automatically transfer all technical requirements of the standard into the design software] so that I can [have actual verification of the production requirements in the design software].
As a [manufacturer], I want to [locate other applicable standards to my product], so that I can [comply with these standards, as applicable].
The idea is that this innovative program meets the needs of all stakeholders, as well as society as a whole. See more details at: www.iso.org/smart.
