ISS and educational institutions

In the last week of 2021, the Institute was visited by representatives of the Academy of Technical Vocational Studies in Belgrade. This institution was created by integrating four colleges of vocational studies that are now departments of the Academy: Department of Belgrade Polytechnic, Department of Computer and Mechanical Engineering, Department of Traffic, Mechanical and Protection Engineering and Department of Applied Engineering.

The meeting focused on the continuation of cooperation with the Institute, having in mind the current connection between the Institute and Belgrade Polytechnic through its long-term membership in the Institute, representatives in expert councils and ISS NTCs, as well as educating students on standardization.

In addition, one of the topics of the meeting was the extension of the contract on online reading of standards. Namely, in addition to the possibility of concluding an annual agreement on online reading of the database of Serbian standards that all users have, the Institute offers educational institutions a special option of annual access to selected Serbian standards and related documents. This service applies to two or more user sites and is suitable for selecting a specific set of standards from related areas.

The conclusion of the meeting was that the Academy will continue the partnership with the Institute in the future, which opens several new areas for further development of cooperation, such as traffic management, plant protection, mechanical engineering and the electrical sector. Readers of the ISS Bulletin "Standardization" in the first issue of this year will have the opportunity to get to know this accredited educational institution better, which is one of the largest institutions of higher education in our country.
