ISS at the „Bring Together“ event organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering
World vice-champions in the most prestigious student competition for innovation and power electronics, the "H-Bridges team" hosted the "Bring Together" event for students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade yesterday. The event aims to introduce future engineers to the jobs and activities they can expect after graduation, as well as potential employers. Goran Bajić, Head of the Electrotechnical Standardization Department at the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, presented the Institute's activities and mission as a national standardization body..
Every year, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF) produces a large number of engineers who are seeking employment in domestic and foreign companies. Many decide to continue their education abroad, while others build their professional careers in Serbia. The high demand for these experts, which exceeds the supply on the labor market, contributes to the challenges that young people face in choosing their professional paths. The Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS), also located on this path, can significantly contribute to the professional development of young experts. The ISS has a large base of world knowledge sublimated into standards, and offers opportunities to network with a large number of domestic and international experts through participation in national and international standards commissions
The process of adopting national and international standards was presented by the associates of the Institute:
Dunja Grujić - ODS, Director of the Market Support Sector in Elektrodistribucija Serbia, as a participant in the IEC Program for Young Professionals in 2018 and as an active member of the ISS NTC KS N013;
Vladan Cvejić - ENSACO solutions, as an active Serbian representative in the teams of experts of the IEC - WG 10 and WG 17 of the TC 57, as well as WG 2 of TC 95;
Nemanja Milojčić - Center for Automation and Regulation of the Nikola Tesla Institute of Electrical Engineering, which is a pillar of ISS NTCs in the field of electrotechnical standardization and the source of the largest number of our experts in international electrotechnical committees.
Members of the "H-bridges" team organized a nice event for their colleagues, which allowed them to get to know local organizations whose business is significant for the entire society, and their future involvement will help the development of the electrical engineering sector at the domestic and global level.
Apart from these ISS associates, representatives of the following companies independently presented their organizations and the need for young experts in the electrotechnical profession: Brose d.o.o. Pancevo, Institute Mihajlo Pupin d.o.o. Belgrade, Meter&Control Belgrade and SIQ Belgrade.
For one year, ISS enabled selected team members to read all Serbian standards and in the coming years will continue to support the knowledge and engagement of young people who will be the pillars of this society.
