ISS opened 18th International Energy Fair and 19th International Environment Protection and Natural Resources Fair – ECOFAIR with the presentation „Standards and ecology“

The Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) is forging a new partnership with the Belgrade Fair to promote standardization and enrich the Fair's events with expert lectures. This year, the ISS is participating in the 18th International Energy Fair and the 19th Fair of Ecology and Environmental Protection and Natural Resources. This marks the beginning of a one-year collaboration between the two organizations, aiming to introduce Serbian citizens to the world of standards and standardization. The ISS will also contribute to the Fair's programs by providing expert lectures from various areas of standardization. This collaboration is a significant step towards raising awareness about the importance of standardization in Serbia. By working together, the ISS and the Belgrade Fair can help to ensure that Serbian citizens have the knowledge and resources they need to benefit from standardization.

Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair Welcomes Visitors with a Focus on Ecology and Energy. From November 28 to 30, Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair is a hub for visitors interested in ecology and energy. As part of its participation in this year's ecology fair, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) has showcased 64 standards in the field of ecology, providing attendees with valuable insights into the standardization landscape. In the dedicated "B2B" events area, Bratislava Stojanović, Head of the Department for Sales, Marketing, and Education, kicked off the day with a presentation titled "Standards and Ecology." Attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of the most crucial standards in this field and their significance in shaping a sustainable society. Standardization plays a pivotal role in environmental protection and natural resource conservation. It establishes minimum requirements that must be met to ensure the sustainability of products, services, and processes, minimizing their negative environmental impact.

Concurrently with the presentation's conclusion, ISS hosted an engaging mini-quiz, allowing visitors to delve into fascinating facts about ISS endeavours and the significance of standards adoption. Three participants who demonstrated their knowledge in the domains of standardization and ecology were rewarded for their correct answers.

As the partnership with the Belgrade Fair is still in its evolving stages, ISS has meticulously planned an array of presentations and informative lectures for the upcoming year, which coincides with the ISS 90th anniversary. These events will serve as an introduction to standards encompassing various aspects of life for future Fair attendees.
