The participation of representatives of the academic community in the process of the national standardization development and adoption of national standards is one of the most important factors that contributes to ensuring the continuity of that process. This is also the reason why the Institute for Standardization of Serbia pays significant attention to establishing cooperation with the faculties.
Therefore, on 3 March, 2021, at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, respecting all protection measures, a meeting participating the ISS Director, Mrs. Tatjana Bojanić with associates, and professor of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, Prof. dr Zoran Stajić and prof. Dr. Zoran Prijić. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Dušan Vukotić, member of the Expert Council of the Institute in the fields of electrical engineering, information technologies and telecommunications, as well as Dr. Dragan Litričin from IRC "Alfatec" d.o.o. Niš and doctoral students Marko Živković, Đorđe Lazarević, Uroš Ilić, Vladislav Lazić and Bratislav Trojić.
The main topic of the meeting was the inclusion of experts from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in the work of the national commissions for standards and raising the level of awareness of students about standards so that they start their future jobs with adequate prior knowledge in this area. They also talked about the possibilities of participating in the work of international and European technical committees and direct participation and influence on the adoption of international and European standards, as well as other services and benefits that the Institute can provide for students and professors.
