Meeting of young professionals in electrical engineering

The inclusion of young professionals in the world of standardization through appropriate preparation for the development of standards is of exceptional importance at the global, as well as at the national level.

It is very important for national standardization bodies to work on connecting with young professionals in a timely manner, their continuous information and training. Therefore, the development of national programs for young professionals is an exceptional opportunity to create a base of new generations of experts who will be the future of standardization.

One of the best examples of active networking of young professionals is the program of the German standardization organization in the field of electrical engineering DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies). Representatives of this organization, Florian Spiteller and Alena Widder, were guests of the Institute today. They shared their experience in the development of a program for young professionals in Germany with young people from Serbia and all the benefits of participating in this program.

Those present were greeted by the director of the Institute and the head of the Sector for Electrotechnical Standardization, who emphasized the exceptional importance of the participation of young experts in the development of standards. Jasmina Trbović, Project Support Associate at AHK Serbien, the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, spoke about activities in the field of German and Serbian business cooperation.

Florian Spiteller is Head of International Relations and Support and a member of the DKE Executive Board, a former participant of the IEC Young Professional Programme. Alena Widder has been in charge of the DKE Next Generation programme as a project manager for several years. In addition to them, last year's and this year's participants from Serbia, Mladen Ćirović, Head of Laboratory SIQ Beograd d.o.o., and Dejan Stanojević, Information Technology Engineer at Iritel a.d. Belgrade, spoke about the DKE programme.

Among the participants was Dunja Grujić, another young expert from Serbia with experience in international electrotechnical standardization. She shared her impressions and experiences of participating in the IEC Young Professionals Programme.
