Recently, ISS published SRPS ISO 10017:2022, Quality management - Guidance on statistical techniques for ISO 9001:2015 (https://iss.rs/sr_Cyrl/project/show/iss:proj:102918), a new Serbian standard in the Serbian language, a translation of the identical international standard SRPS ISO 10017:2021.
The purpose of this standard is to provide guidelines for the selection of appropriate statistical techniques that can be used by any organization that has implemented a quality management system, in order to evaluate and improve its effectiveness.
The standard provides a tabular overview of all points of ISO 9001, the quantitative data associated with each point, and a proposal for a statistical method that is adequate for collecting that data. For example, in connection with point 4.1 Understanding the organization and its context, financial data were identified as significant, followed by data obtained from employee surveys, market research, etc. and four statistical techniques are proposed.
The standard also provides examples of graphing data, as well as benefits, limitations, and application examples for each of the nine statistical techniques: descriptive statistics, design of experiments, hypothesis testing, measurement system analysis, process capability analysis, regression analysis, reliability analysis, sampling, and simulation.
SRPS ISO 10017:2017 was adopted by the ISS NTC CASCO. This standard withdraws and replaces SRPS ISO/TR 10017:2007.
