New standards and webinar on the subject of project management

Only a month after the publication of the new edition of the International standard ISO 21500, which provides guidelines for project management, ISS published a complete series of Serbian standards in this area, applicable in any organization, regardless of complexity, size or duration of project, program or portfolio.

New edition of SRPS ISO 21500 specifies the organizational context and underlying concepts for undertaking project, programme and portfolio management. SRPS ISO 21502 provides high-level descriptions of practices that are considered to work well and produce good results within the context of project management. SRPS ISO 21503 provides guidance on programme management, i.e. project groups, as well as high-level descriptions of relevant terms, definitions, concepts, prerequisites and practices, including roles and responsibilities that form good practice in programme management. SRPS ISO 21504 provides guidance on the principles of project and programme portfolio management and is intended to be adapted to suit the specific environment of the project and programme portfolio, while SRPS ISO 21505 describes the context in which the governance of projects, programmes and portfolios is conducted and provides guidance for the governance of projects, programmes and portfolios. It is intended for governing bodies and executive and senior management who influence, impact or make decisions regarding the governance of projects, programmes and portfolios.

Project management involves the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities, in order to meet all project requirements. In cooperation with the Agency for Consulting and Project Management, ISS is organizing a webinar “Project Management - Good Practice in the Application of Standards SRPS ISO 21500:2021 and SRPS ISO 21502:2021”, which is in accordance with the requirements of revised standards in this area. The participants of the webinar will be introduced to the solutions offered by the new ISO standards and the best world practice. The webinar, among other things, offers answers to questions about how standards help increase project success and how all projects in an organization can be standardized.
