New Issue of the “Standardization” Bulletin

A new issue of the Standardization bulletin has been published, dedicated to one of the key elements of management systems—certification. As a process that encourages the application of standards, improves organizational management, and strengthens competitiveness, certification represents an important pillar of modern, responsible, and sustainable business practice.

A special section of this issue focuses on the work of the Certification Body of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, which, as the successor to institutions that laid the foundations of standardization in our country, today occupies a significant position within the national certification system.

The “In Focus” section examines the importance of certification as an effective mechanism for business improvement, highlighting the concrete benefits organizations achieve through the application of internationally recognized standards – from enhanced processes and productivity to strengthened customer trust and measurable business results.

The “A Word about…” section features an interview with Vladimir Simić, a lead auditor with many years of experience in the field of management systems, who speaks about the role of auditors, challenges in the implementation of standards, and the importance of continuous improvement in a dynamic business environment.

We also bring an overview of the most important activities of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia in the previous three months, as well as announcements of upcoming events, while the “Standardization in Context” section provides a review of the third interactive conference of the German Institute for Standardization, held within the EDU4STANDARDS project.

In the “Interesting Facts from European and International Standardization” section, readers can explore interesting information about self-driving cars and their potential to enhance accessibility, safety, and the sustainable development of urban environments.

We wish all our readers and partners happy upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays.
