Annual Activity Report of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia for 2025 Published

The Institute for Standardization of Serbia has published its Annual Activity Report for 2025, providing an overview of the most significant activities, results, and events that marked the Institute's work over the past year.

During 2025, intensive work continued on the development of national standardization, adoption of European and international standards, strengthening of international cooperation, and provision of expert and educational support to standards users.

The work of the Institute's expert bodies represents a particularly significant achievement. Throughout the year, 171 technical committees for standards and related documents were active. In 2025, a total of 205 standards and related documents were published in the Serbian language, and 1,603 in the English language.

At the same time, 1,568 draft standards and 1,603 final draft texts were prepared, while a total of 1,808 European standards and related documents were adopted in Serbian and English.

European and international cooperation formed an important segment of the Institute's activities during 2025.

The Institute hosted the 27th plenary meeting of the European Technical Committee CEN/TC 114 – Safety of machinery, which gathered representatives from ten European countries in March.

A special acknowledgment of the Institute's work came in the form of a "Full Compliance" rating in the self-assessment process according to CEN-CENELEC Guide 22:2021 and EN ISO 9001, confirmed by the CEN-CENELEC Member Relations and Monitoring Committee. The Institute received 11 commendations for its established work processes.

During the year, the alignment of the Information Security Management System with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard was also successfully completed, earning the Institute a certificate of conformity with the new edition of this standard.

In 2025, the monograph "90 Years of Standardization in Serbia" was published, dedicated to the development of standardization and the standardization institution in this region.

Throughout the year, the Institute continued its collaboration with the business sector, as well as the professional and academic communities. Participation in major business events organized by the Belgrade Fair also continued.

Education was a significant segment of work. The Institute conducted a total of 48 training courses attended by more than 662 participants.

Publishing and information activities also continued. 12 issues of the electronic newsletter "ISS Information" were published, the release of the "Standardization" bulletin continued, alongside the preparation and publication of electronic collections and promotional materials tailored to various areas of standard application.

In 2025, the Institute also received recognitions for successful cooperation with partner organizations, including letters of appreciation from the Croatian Standards Institute and ASTM International, with whom cooperation has been ongoing since 2010.
