The ISS Annual Report for 2023 provides a comprehensive overview of its key achievements, activities, and milestones from the previous year.
The report highlights the ISS's significant contributions to standardization, including the development and adoption of new Serbian, European, and international standards, participation in international conferences and workshops, and the organization of various training programs.
A particular highlight of the year was hosting the four-day General Assembly of European standardization organizations in Belgrade, a testament to the Institute's growing influence in the global standardization landscape.
The report also emphasizes the ISS commitment to gender equality and its involvement in developing gender-responsive standards. This includes signing the UNECE declaration and establishing a working group to create a national action plan.
Furthermore, the report provides insights into the ISS financial performance, as well as its ongoing efforts to maintain and improve its quality management system, as evidenced by the recertification to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 standards.
The Institute further strengthened its international cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute for Standardization of Cyprus (CYS) and a Memorandum on Business and Technical Cooperation with the Union of Employers of Serbia. Through a renewed agreement with the Belgrade Fair, the Institute gained access to major international trade fairs to showcase its activities.
Regionally, the Institute hosted representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska, and paid a working visit to Croatia. Domestically, the Institute partnered with the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation to support the annual competition for the best technological innovation.
In keeping with its tradition of giving back to the community, the Institute donated 50 sets of bedding to the neonatal and abdominal surgery departments of the University Children's Clinic in Tiršova.
