As part of the ongoing cooperation with the German Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE) and organized by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ RS), a workshop was held at the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS) on 5 December, 2024, dedicated to the presentation and promotion of translated documents on technical regulations for user connection to low and medium voltage networks.
In order to acquire new knowledge and apply best practices, Elektrodistribucija Srbije initiated the adoption of German VDE standards VDE-AR-N 4100, VDE-AR-N 4105, and VDE-AR-N 4110. With the consent of VDE and the support of GIZ RS, the standards were translated into Serbian in cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade.
The Serbian Standardization Institute's Standards Commission KS N013 adopted the following translated documents as draft technical specifications in November:
A representative of the VDE Forum for Network Technologies and Network Operation (VDE FNN) spoke about the current status of German documents, implemented and planned changes, and once again confirmed openness to further cooperation. Representatives of Elektrodistribucija Srbije presented the connection procedures, technical standards and network codes in Serbia, as well as plans for their adaptation in accordance with European network codes.
The event was also attended by members of the Expert Council for Standardization in the fields of electrical engineering, information technology and telecommunications and members of national standards commissions, with online participation of experts from TSO Stromnetz in Berlin, who shared experiences on managing distributed energy sources.
