Plenary meeting of ISO/TC 207 in Toronto, Canada

From October 25 to November 1, the Plenary meeting of the ISO/TC 207, Environmental Management, is being held in Toronto, Canada. This event gathers representatives from around the world with the goal of jointly advancing international standards in the field of environmental protection and climate change.

Mr. Dušan Stokić, Chairperson of the ISS NTC A207, Environmental Management Systems, and the representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, is participating in the session. He is contributing to the work of the international group of experts and representing the interests of national standardization in the field of the environment.

During the session, current topics and standards that form the basis of international action in environmental protection are being discussed, including ISO 14001, the ISO 14019 series, standards for greenhouse gases (GHG), as well as the upcoming ISO 14060 standard which will define principles and guidelines for achieving net-zero emissions.

The ISO/TC 207 Plenary meeting once again confirms the importance of international cooperation and knowledge exchange in the development of reliable and recognized standards that contribute to environmental protection and global sustainability goals.
