Free access to standards granted to businesses from Republika Srpska

Numerous activities marked the jubilee year of standardization in Serbia. In addition to the recently opened information center at the University Library „Svetozar Marković“ in Belgrade, free access to standards facilitated by the Institute for Standardization of Serbia has also been enabled in Republika Srpska since yesterday.

All businesses, professionals, as well as students, professors, and pupils, have at their disposal, in the premises of the Institute for Standardization and Metrology of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, existing and future standards developed and published by the national standardization body of the Republic of Serbia.

The importance of the availability of standards for two economies that have been successfully cooperating for years was emphasized by the ISS Acting Director, Tatjana Bojanić, who at the official opening emphasized that future translations of standards will also be available to users of the information center in Banja Luka.

Aleksandar Todorović, director of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was also present at the opening.

As standardization is important for all segments of social life, and the application of standards guarantees a regulated and transparent market, to which every society aspires, the participants of the event emphasized the importance of standards being readily available, especially to businesses, who are the largest purchasers of standards.

The information center in Banja Luka is the seventh in a row that the ISS has opened for all interested users. In the regional centers of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, all interested citizens also have free access to standards.
