Scope

Lays down the mechanical, physical and magnetic characteristics for a lubricated magnetic disk of 210 mm (8.3 in) outer diameter and 100 mm (3.9) inner diameter intended for data storage devices. Defines requirements for a disk to enable satisfactory performance at 158 368 flux transitions per track. Other densities may necessitate modified characteristics.
