Plastics piping systems for renovation of underground water supply networks — Part 11: Lining with inserted hoses

Scope

This document, in conjunction with ISO 11298-1, specifies the requirements and test methods for plastics piping systems comprising inserted hoses intended to be used for the renovation of underground water supply networks.
It applies to hoses and fittings, as manufactured, as well as to the installed lining system. It is applicable to flexible hoses, both loose-fit and close-fit, comprising a woven synthetic fibre core with thermoplastics membranes on both inside and outside, and to the associated fittings and joints for the construction of the lining system in each case.
It does not apply to close-fitting liners designed to depend on interaction with the host pipe for long-term resistance to internal pressure. It requires all liners within the scope to pass an independent internal pressure resistance test.
It is applicable to hoses and connectors intended to be used at an operating temperature 20°C as the reference temperature.
It does not include requirements or test methods for long-term durability of thermoplastic membranes which are outside the scope of this standard.
NOTE 1   For applications operating at constant temperatures greater than 25 °C, the system supplier may provide guidance on pressure reduction factors.
NOTE 2   For applications of hoses direct contact with drinking water should conform to the requirements of national regulations.
