Monitoring and mitigation of fire laboratory emissions

Scope

This document provides comprehensive guidelines for managing emissions from fire testing laboratories, focusing on emissions to air, soil, and water. It aims to assist laboratories in designing clean and environmentally sustainable facilities, thereby minimizing their ecological impact. This standard specifically addresses the nature of effluents and the kinetics of emissions unique to fire testing activities. It excludes considerations related to chronic health impacts on laboratory workers, which are covered by local regulations, and does not apply to firefighter training centers.
