Ships and marine technology — Technical requirements for painting the accommodation interior of passenger ships

Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for painting the accommodation interior structured by steel on passenger ships, including ferries, cruise ships and ocean liners. The requirements in this document cover primary surface preparation, protective paint system, secondary surface preparation, inspection and testing.
This document is applicable to painting the accommodation interior excluding the floor of passenger ships. It can also be used as a reference for other ships which are not passenger ships but which have accommodation structured by steel.
