Thermal insulation products for buildings - Factory made calcium silicate (CS) products - Specification

Scope

This European Standard specifies characteristics for factory made calcium silicate (CS) products intended to be used for the thermal
insulation of buildings (roofs, walls, ceilings and floors).
This document is applicable for factory made calcium silicate products with or without lamination or coating.
This European Standard is applicable for materials with the main crystal phases Xonotlite and Tobermorite with or without
Wollastonite.
This European Standard is applicable for products which are manufactured in the form of boards, segments and prefabricated wa re.
This European Standard is applicable for multi-layered CS products.
The products covered by this document can be used in roofs , walls, ceilings and floors.
This European Standard specifies procedures for assessment and verification of constancy of performanc e (AVCP) of characteris tics
of factory-made calcium silicate products (CS).
This standard does not cover:
— products intended to be used for the insulation of building equipment and industrial installations;
— products intended to be used for civil engineering works;
— intended to be used for acoustic applications;
— with a declared thermal conductivity greater than 0,078 W/(mK) at 10 °C;
— aerated concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, mineral foam insulating products and sand -lime bricks;
— in situ insulation products.
