Eurocode 8 - Design of structures for earthquake resistance - Part 1-101: Characterisation and qualification of structural components for seismic applications by means of cyclic tests

Scope

(1) This document contains rules for qualification by cyclic testing of structural components designed according to the EN 1998 series.
NOTE Qualification corresponds to a validation made in the frame of a specific project. Pre-qualification tests are realized to qualify a dedicated structural component for unlimited future usage not in relation with a dedicated project.
(2) This document covers:
a) conditions for applying the document;
b) conditions for qualification of structural components;
c) testing provisions for qualification of structural components;
d) loading histories for qualification by cyclic testing of structural components;
e) test reporting provisions for structural components;
f) rules for verification of limit states;
