Furniture — Circularity — Evaluation method for maintenance, repair and refurbishing capability

Scope

This document provides an evaluation method including a set of criteria for evaluating the ability of priority parts of products to be maintained, repaired and refurbished that lead to an extension of the lifetime of a product.
The evaluation criteria are intended to support the user in designing a product which can be easily maintained, repaired and refurbished irrespective of materials or construction methods used.
The evaluation method does not include usefulness and/or cost-effectiveness of the repair and refurbishment or assessing the overall degree of circularity of furniture products. For this additional complementary evaluation methods for other aspects are necessary.
