Scope

The present document states the minimum requirements for general communication for shipborne fixed installations using DSC - class E. Class E DSC is intended to be used in the Medium Frequency (MF) and/or High Frequency (HF) bands of the Maritime Mobile Service (MMS), for distress, urgency and safety communication and general communications and uses telephony for subsequent communications.
