Scope

This European Standard specifies performance requirements and test methods for high performance protective helmets that can have a peak, for use by people involved in equestrian activities.
It includes requirements for shock absorption, resistance to penetration, lateral crush, the strength and effectiveness of the retention system and the deflection of a peak if fitted.
