Scope

Print the words "kitchen machines" without bolding.

Add after the first paragraph:

This standard also deals with hygiene and acoustical noise (see Annex ZAA).

Replace the text of NOTE 102 by:

NOTE 102: Examples of kitchen machines are listed in Annex ZAA. Delete the two paragraphs immediately before NOTE 103. Add the following paragraph before NOTE 103:
"This standard deals with the reasonably foreseeable hazards presented by machines that are encountered by all persons.

However, in general, it does not take into account

• children playing with the machine,

• the use of the machine by children,

• the use of the machine by vulnerable people or very vulnerable people."

Replace NOTE 104 by the following:

This standard does not apply to
– machines designed exclusively for industrial purposes,
– machines intended to be used in locations where a corrosive or an explosive atmosphere is present (dust, vapour or gas),
– continuous process machines for the mass production of food,
– machinery generating in any part a pressure exceeding 50 kPa,
– kitchen machines designed for induction heating,
– heating up solids,
– machinery for processing cosmetics, chemicals and pharmaceutical products,
– independent conveying equipment, such as food distribution belts.
