Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) in cooperation with the Ministry of Information Society and Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia, organized a seminar on national legislation on information security. At this two-day seminar, held in Veles on October 20 and 21 this year, relevant topics related to cyber security were discussed. Particular attention was paid to compliance with the EU NIS Directive (EU Network and Information Security Directive), crisis management in cyber security, legal provisions on the cyber security agency and the international standard ISO/IEC 27001. ISS Director spoke about the changes brought by the new version of this standard. Tatjana Bojanić and the head of the Department for International Cooperation, Information and Publishing, Violeta Nešković-Popović, who were invited by the organizers to participate in this seminar as the presenters.
DCAF is implementing a three-year regional project “Good governance of information security in the Western Balkans”, funded by the United Kingdom Government. The seminar on information security was part of this project and brought together regional and European experts, key cyber security policy makers in the Western Balkans, as well as representatives of institutions for the prevention of incidents in the field of information security.
