Standards and innovation

Standards represent an unbreakable link between innovation and the market. They should be the basis for the development of innovations because they establish and define terminology - successful communication that is necessary for the development of any idea, determine and describe the basic characteristics of products, as well as best business practices that certainly pave the way for the market. In order to emphasize the great importance of standards in the development of innovations and practical application of research results, the Institute for Standardization of Serbia joined and supported the Competition for the Best Technological Innovation, which has been organized since 2005 by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. The next issue of the ISS Bulletin "Standardization", which will be published at the end of March, will present the innovation of one of last year's semifinalists of this competition. 

At this time, the registration of teams for 2022 is carried out in the following categories: Realized innovations, Innovative ideas for high school and university students, as well as in the new category - Innovative village. The reported innovations will be evaluated from the technical and business side. Conditions for participation, as well as the application form, can be found on the website www.inovacija.org . The deadline for applications of high school and student teams is 15 March, while the deadline for the remaining two categories is 5 May, 2022. The organizer of the competition is the organizing team from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade and RTS.
